A portrait of Zombie Jesus, done by the Church of Resurrection in Malton.

The core myth of the Sutekhian heresy is that involving Jesus.

The Sutekhian heresy differs from mainstream Christianity in many ways, but on this point the difference is perhaps most pronounced.

Zombie Jesus is the theory, according to the dominant doctrine of the Sutekhian heresy, that the historical, religious, mythological and sometimes comedical figure known as Jesus was actually a zombie.
The facts of his resurrection (also known as reanimation), and the circumstances surrounding his worship (See article: transubstantiation) all indicate the undead quality of his being.
As such, all geeks revere this mighty figure of zombie-hood who was able to transcend his own desire for brains, and elevate the act of imbibing brain-matter into an experience of unparalleled spiritual ecstasy.

Each year his reanimation is celebrated on Zombie Thursday, with the imbibing of liquor and the sharing of Sutekhian values.

Not to be confused with Vampire Jesus.
