O-Week, or Orientation Week is a University of Sydney Union-sponsored festival in the week before the first week of classes in Semester One each year.

In recent years it has only been three days long, generally the Wednesday-Friday before classes start. In 2007 O-Week will be held from Wednesday, 28th February to Friday, 2nd March. Classes start on the 5th of March.
Sutekh and all the clubs and societies that DIDN'T win Best Club '06 set up stalls on the university's Front Lawns. This is primarily so that new and returning students can see all the clubs that USyd has to offer, and join the ones they're interested in. Apart from club stalls, there are also performances by clubs on the main stage.
Apart from club promotion, O-Week is a lot of fun. Live bands and comedy acts often play, and there are events and games (Giant Twister is a favourite). It's basically a festival of fun before classes start.
Sutekh always has a strong O-Week presence, with our stall being our main member-gathering method for the year.
To join any clubs and societies on campus, you need to hold an Access Card, or pay an administrative fee of $37 per club. This is because of VSU.
